The Epilepsy Support Group has become aware of the plight of Nicholas Rangeley of Halifax UK.

Mr Rangeley is at present on a dose of 2500mg BD ( = 5000mg per day. Usually more than 4000mg of this medication per day is seldom recommended) of Epilim (Sodium Valproate) for treatment of Epileptic Seizures including Myoclonic Jerks, Astatic Absences, Clonics, and newly manifested Tonic Clonics. This medication (usually used for Partial/Focal Seizure Management) has been ineffective for the whole 5 years that Mr Rangeley has endured these ever increasing multiple daily seizures, which are now also becoming more severe.

Nicholas Rangely is currently in hospital again following very harsh seizures and the first reaction to these was to offer yet another increase in his dose of Epilim!

It is high time this 26 year old former extremely healthy bodybuilder was given a review and offered a more suitable medication.

EpilepsySupportGroup.co.uk urge you to sign this petition in the hopes of ending this farce and getting this fine young man and his family the correct medical treatment which is desperately needed.

This is an OFFICIAL Epilepsy Support Group Petition.
